Objectives & Scope

Schedule

The following milestones were achieved in support of the service launch on June 16, 2018:

• Completed the Environmental Assessment: July 2012
• Completed Final Design: October 2014
• Completed construction at Hartford Union Station: August 2016
• Completed station construction in Meriden and Wallingford: November 2017

Post launch the following major milestones have been achieved:

• Completed station construction in Berlin: Fall 2018
• Completed track construction from North Haven to Windsor: Fall 2018
• Completed improvements at State Street Station: February 2019

In addition, State funding has been allocated for the following design efforts, which are currently underway:

• Track and infrastructure improvements from Windsor to Springfield: Scheduled to be completed in 2020

New stations in North Haven, West Hartford, Windsor, Windsor Locks, and Enfield: Scheduled to be completed in 2020. Note: Design of a station in Newington is on hold pending agreement on a location with the Town of Newington.
